The Path to Juneteenth

Get ready to learn about an important part of American history with The Path to Juneteenth – A Journey Through Black History Reader and Activity Book! Many Black Americans know June 19 as Juneteenth, Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, or Jubilee Day. Not only will you learn about the perseverance and contributions of Black Americans from the past, but they will also learn about the present and how they can shape the future!

What activities are there? Your child can go exploring with map activities! They will have to look carefully at the maps to find the answers.

We were inspired to create this book after watching several powerful groups accuse Black history courses and lessons of being antithetical (and dangerous) to the American experience. This activity book is not a complete story of Juneteenth. It is, instead, another tool and a collection of resources to further your and your children’s education of their heritage.

Path to Juneteenth – A Journey Through Black History Reader and Activity Book is a great activity book for kids ages 8 through 13 (and their parents and teachers as well).
